fashion
Fashion is a huge part of who I am and how I express myself. I don't have a singular style. For me fashion, is about embracing my multifaceted identity. I am sensitive romantic as well as bold and edgy as well as regal and refined as well as dainty and intricate as well as soft and colorful. With each outfit, I can embrace and validate a different facet of who I am. What I love about fashion is that if you decide the outfit works, it works. If you decide two otherwise "mismatched" pieces will be styled together and choose to pull it off, you can make it cool. Doing so reminds me that I can allow the various parts of my complex identity to coexist.
I enjoy sharing with my audience how I conceptualize and style an outfit (as done in my series, "How to Bring a Look to Life") and how different styling can turn the same base outfit into multiple options--especially perfect for people like me who don't have an unlimited budget and giant wardrobe. I share with my viewers how I experiment with new ways to layer and even incorporate my culture into an otherwise western look.
